Photoville – New York’s favorite photo festival – is gearing up for its 14th year in New York City!Photoville 2025 will kick off with a celebratory opening weekend on June 7-8, 2025 and will run through June 22, 2025.Our Photo Village, with its classic shipping containers will be returning to Brooklyn Bridge Park – with additional open-air exhibitions in NYC Parks, and other NYC cultural institutions and public spaces through the five boroughs. The Festival will also feature artist-led walking tours, workshops, and opportunities for educators and students to connect with the Festival’s featured visual storytellers.OKAPI is a modern art and design gallery in the Old Town of Tallinn, established in 2013. The gallery focuses on glass and photographic art. OKAPI features a wide selection of locally made, Estonian glass art and design, photography, and graphic art. The gallery operates as a nonprofit organization, offering exhibition space for photography and glass artwork. OKAPI works with a diverse group of artists who are devoted to their art and their mediums. In addition to promoting locally, OKAPI actively represents artists abroad, offering them a variety of international collaborations to help expand the artists’ network. EE„Balti kett“ (Ing. tlk „Baltic Way”) väljapaneku raames eksponeeritakse peamiseltajaloolist dokumentaalfotomaterjali, mis kajastab Balti keti sündmusi 1989. aastaaugustis nii Eestis, Lätis kui Leedus, aga ka laiemalt üleminekuaastaid nõukogudeaja lõpust ja vabariikliku aja algusest, näiteks protestimiitingult Hirvepargis 1987.aasta augustis ja 1991. aasta traagilistest jaanuarisündmustest Vilniuses. Täpsemaltesitletakse ajaloolist fotomaterjali, mis tabab poliitilisi ja sotsiaalseid pingeid,rahvuslikke ülestõuse ja vabadusepüüdlust NSVL lagunemise kontekstis. Üheksväljapaneku eesmärgiks on tuua esile ajalooliselt tähenduslik murdepunkt toonaseselu-olus tänasele laiemale publikule, sh nooremale generatsioonile.
