From 21 to 23 July, more than 40 teachers of Estonian language and culture came together in Põltsamaa to hold another informative and inspiring summer school. 

There were teachers from 15 different countries, with the furthest guests coming from Australia and the West Coast of the USA, as well as from Toronto and Hamilton. As per tradition, certificates were also presented. A lifetime achievement award was presented to Erika Kessa (Canada) and Ivi Tamm (USA), the award of young inspiring teachers went to Annaliisa Asveit (UK) and Anna-Liisa Sepp (USA), and the establishment of the Estonian School in Stavanger was named the Education Achievement of the Year. 

Reet Vahemets (Spain), Annika Cockburn (UK), Ingrid Järv (Luxembourg), Kadri-Liis Wist (Norway), Triinu Viilukas and Ruth Dorn (Austria), Merike Koger, Kai Kiilaspea, Katrin Sõmermaa ja Lydia Ritso-Kadai (Canada), Milvi Laan, Heli Paun, Maie Taits ja Nele Kaps (USA), Lee Laurimäe ja Marika Nisov (Finland), Kaja Näslund Kaur, Epp Jaansoo and Epp Männik (Sweden), and Ivika Keisele (Latvia) were recognised for their long-term work as teachers.
