The Lydia: Preparing for our Estonian Christmas
Integration Foundation
Rävala pst 5
10143 Tallinn Harjumaa
Estonia
Are you an Estonian-roots woman who has returned to Estonia and is interested in connecting with other Estonian women who share your love for all things Christmas?
Come to Tallinn for a returnees meeting and spend a creative afternoon with us to get ready for the holiday season.
Share your family traditions and memories, and get inspired by new ideas for preparing, crafting, and cooking for Estonian-style Christmas. We will make lovely Christmas decorations together that you can take home with you.
This 22 November event is free with registration required as space is limited. Please note that the main language of the event is Estonian.
For Estonian-rooted women living abroad who cannot attend the event on 22 November, we warmly welcome you to join the virtual gathering on 4 December.
This new group – The Lydia: A Sisterhood of Estonian Women Around the Globe - builds connections between all Estonian women, both in-person events like this for women in Estonia along with virtual gatherings to connect with women living abroad. All ages and backgrounds welcome.
“The Lydia” name draws inspiration from Lydia Koidula, the trailblazer of the Estonian national awakening and a pioneer in expressing one’s voice and cultural agency. In her spirit we now create this network to honor the generations of Estonian women before us and tap into that energy to now create our own legacy and draw on this sisterhood of support from other Estonian women.
